Cyberpunk 2077 DMCA Strike
Cyberpunk 2077 reports of a bug in the game that puts DMCA strike for streamer and content creators despite the option of disabling Copyright Music being switched on. The developers report that until the fix is ready, any potential Twitch streamer must switch off all in-game music to avoid any strikes on their channel
We just noticed there’s a song in the game which might put a DMCA strike on your channel even when playing with “Disable Copyrighted Music” option on. While we work on fixing it, please make sure to turn the sound off during the first two Braindance sequences. Apologies! pic.twitter.com/yfP6Tbdta0

Prior to the initial launched, Cyberpunk 2077 warned potential streamers on December 10, 2020 that a certain song during the game’s “Braindance” sequence may trigger Digital Millenium Copyright Act strikes despite the use of the in-game setting that toggles off copyright music for this exact reason.
The sequence Braindance is a memory replay in the game Cyberpunk 2077 which appears twice as a part of the main story. CD Projekt Red advises simply to switching off the sound during the Braindance portions of the game to avoid receiving DMCA strikes on the channel. Recent reports show that CDPR states that the issue may be bigger than they initially thought, and are now advising content creators to just switch off their in-game sound.
The quests to disable music for are the following:
-
- Santo Domingo Race
- City Centre Race
- I Don’t Wanna Hear It, Off the Leash, Rebel! Rebel! (chain)
- Human Nature, Tune Up, Epistrophy, Don’t Lose Your Mind (chain)
Make sure to disable music from these quests: 1.Santo Domingo Race, 2. City Centre Race, 3.I Don’t Wanna Hear It, Off the Leash, Rebel! Rebel! (chain), 4. Human Nature, Tune Up, Epistrophy, Don’t Lose Your Mind (chain)

Hopefully the developers release a patch soon to remedy the issue because without it, any or all Twitch streams of Cyberpunk 2077 are likely to get copyright strikes.
Additionally, CDPR reports of an update on their EULA regarding epileptic triggers seen on in Cyberpunk 2077.
