Sudio Femtio Review

Sudio Femtio Features

  • IPX6 water protection
  • Dual play (via Bluetooth 5.0)
  • 14 hours playtime
  • 3 Different Colors
  • USB-C Charging
  • IPX6

Design and Construction

The brushed metallic copper coloured rim on the sides of the Sudio Femtio gives it a more sophisticated look. With a lightweight of only 675g it is light enough to go into a backpack unnoticed. With the Sudio Femtio’s IPX6 rating it is able to endure powerful jets of water therefore being a great beach buddy but still shouldn’t be submerged in water.

One thing to note here is that the rectangular base is fixed to the speaker and cannot be taken apart. Possibly for showcasing purposes and safety that it doesn’t just roll away on an uneven surface.

Sound Quality

As with any audio device, the sound signature may be dependent on the genre of music that you are adapted to listening to. The Sudio Femtio has a warm sound signature giving it clear and distinct treble, while the vocals may seem hollow, and the bass does not stand out. For classical music, R&B, or podcasts, it offers a level of delight but when you move into more rock or hip-hop tracks, it tends to get garbled.

In terms of volume, it gets loud enough that you would never need to max it out unless you’re into that sort of thing. Even at the highest volume, minimal distortion can be felt but can go unnoticed.

Stereo Pairing

Dual pairing is one of the features that the Sudio Femtio is heavily promoting. This gives an option to play on a single media on a single device and connect to two different Femtios. In order to achieve this, just switch on both Femtios, double press the pairing button on either one, and it will search for the other speaker automatically. Once detected and paired, a green light will show. The final step is to pair your device to any of the Femtios.

Final Thoughts

Despite having a good sound signature, the general impression of people for portable speakers are that they’d be able to use it for large gatherings with a strong bass presence to gather people around. Though the Femtio is apparently not made that way, it would be a good use for a more chill session. Priced at ₱6,600.00, the Sudio Femtio is fairly decent but has a lot of room for improvement.
