We are taking a look at another release by the Swedish audio company, Sudio. This time around, we got one of their high sound quality Sudio ETT earbuds that takes another step forward in terms of function and sound quality.

The Sudio ETT is available on their website for ₱8,200.00. Let’s take a look at whether it is worth its price.

Sudio Ett specs

  • 10mm drivers
  • Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • IPX5 Sweat and Water Resistance
  • SBC Codec
  • Up to 30 hours playtime, 20 hours with ANC on

Each Sudio Ett earbud weighs around 5grams each and in terms of battery life, Sudio claims that it can do 30 hours of playtime and 6 hours of usage in a single charge. When it is completely drained, the charging case can bring it back to full charge in an hour while offering five total charges. Though you could get an hour of usage with just a mere 15-minute charge.

When it comes to comfort, the Sudio Ett fits well enough, and are designed that you can twist it around your ear to find the right fit. These come in Ett Black, Ett White, Etti Pink, Ett Green, and finally, the ett Anthracite.

Sudio ETT Controls

When it comes to the controls, the Sudio ETT comes with physical buttons instead of a touch-sensitive earbud. Some functions are:

  • One-click: Pause and play music/answer or end a call
  • Two clicks: Jump to the next song
  • Three clicks: Go back to the previous song
  • 2-sec press: Turn on/off ANC
  • 6-sec press: Turn off earbuds

The Sudio ETT comes with a card of 5 additional ear tips to fit different sizes and styles depending on preference and comfort.

When it comes to pairing the Sudio ETT, it was quite a breeze. Upon opening the Bluetooth settings, it almost immediately detected the earbuds and once connected, when you open the charging case, it detects the phone instantaneously and connects to it as long as the Bluetooth is on.

Charging the Sudio ETT

To recharge the Sudio ETT, all you have to do is pop them back in the case and it automatically switches off and stats the charging process. To charge the case, there is a USB-A to USB-C cable included in the package for that purpose.

Sound Quality

Like many others, the sound quality of any audio device is a top priority when it comes to buying one. Be it for music, podcasts, movies, or audio calls, sound quality is a big consideration.

The sound signature on the Sudio ETT is warm like the others recently reviewed from Sudio. There is a strong bass which is quite important for those into rock, R&B or even hip-hop music. Though pop and other genres are also on the list, the conclusion to be made here is that the bass doesn’t necessarily overpower the mid and high tones.

Active Noise Cancellation

Possibly one of the reasons for its price, the Sudio ETT comes with Active Noise Cancellation. It does consume quite a bit of battery therefore might lessen the previously mentioned 6-hours on a single charge to 4-hours. Setting the noise cancellation, there is a tiny button in the middle of each earbud that you’d have to press and hold for 2 seconds. Then a voice will announce where it is active or not.

Additionally, the Sudio ETT comes with an IPX-5 rating which doesn’t necessarily go for submersion but should be able to take showers or a humid tropical climate that tends to make for a sweaty workout.

Final Thoughts

In terms of sound quality, it is a good recommendation along with its Active Noise Cancellation. For comfort, the Sudio ETT fits as it should and can be twisted around the ear to find the right fit. When it comes to battery life, 6-hours without the Active Noise Cancellation is decent along with the additional charges the case allows. All-in-all, Sudio has done a great job at keeping things together at a price of ₱8,200.00.
