Unboxing and Overview

The latest Huawei Watch GT 3 comes in either 42mm or 46mm variants. What I have here is the 42mm variant of the GT 3 as it suits me better than the larger 46mm watch. You can also choose which style you want to get depending on the strap of your choosing. Whether it be leather, nylon woven, metal chain, or Milanese stainless steel mesh.

The Huawei Watch GT 3 comes with a wireless charger out which is an upgrade over the previous Huawei GT 2 which had a wired charger.

While the bigger 46mm GT 3 variant has a 14 day battery life, the smaller 42mm variant that I have here only has a week’s worth of battery – four if you’re a heavy user.

The Huawei Watch GT 3 42mm has a 1.43-inch AMOLED large screen size with milo 3d curved glass helping you see the screen clearly in any direction. Aside from the top, the bottom is also curved making it more comfortable to wear near your wrist bone, curved design is less likely to accumulate sweat during prolonged use and helps on preventing external light to pass through improving the quality of the heart rate signal.

It features the new Trueseen 5.0+ with improved heart rate monitoring for intense workout sessions.

I got here the fluoroelastomer strap that is so comfortable, soft, durable, and most importantly sweat and waterproof perfect for your day-to-day activities. The Huawei Watch GT 3 42mm can also be fitted with other strap designs and supports straps from third-party makers as well.

Aside from heart rate, the Huawei Watch GT 3 can monitor 02 sat, temperature, sleep, stress and so much more.

Each iteration of the Huawei Watch GT model has its own set of watch faces which also differs depending on the size variant that you choose. The ones found on the Huawei Watch GT 3 42mm sport different designs from sporty, stylish, to professional to suit your outfit or your current strap. I honestly enjoy the different refreshing designs so I might change it daily depending on my mood.

That said, it’s my first time owning a smartwatch and I never thought it would be this convenient and helpful thanks to the features of the Huawei Watch GT 3 42mm. I can listen to any song in full volume without having to complain about the sound quality thanks to the upgraded speaker which delivers rich sound both for calls and entertainment. What I enjoyed most about the Huawei Watch GT 3 42mm is the ability to answer calls even if my phone is not physically accessible. Moreover, the Huawei Watch GT 3 saved me a couple of times thanks to the ability to make the paired mobile phone ring even if it’s on silent mode – a lifesaver for someone who always misplaces their phone. Overall, I never thought owning a smartwatch, specifically the Huawei Watch GT 3 42mm, would be so life-changing thanks to its sleek design and reliable features. Its 7-day battery life is more than enough for me to get through the busy workdays with enough juice for the weekends and what’s amazing with its battery is that it only takes under 2 hours to fully charge. Overall, the Huawei Watch GT 3 42mm is a great smartwatch for first-time users and even enthusiasts thanks to its sleek design, well-rounded features, and competitive price of only Php 8,499.
